Snowy waters

Our North Island Easter Camp will be held at Snowy Waters Lodge, located at 58 Ward Street, Historic Raetihi, New Zealand 4632. The camp will run over three nights, from Friday, April 18th to Monday, April 21st, 2025. Departure is scheduled for Monday morning, April 21st, before 10am.

Accommodation

Snowy Waters Lodge offers a variety of accommodation options:

Old Nurses Home: 10 guest rooms accommodating up to 28 guests.
Doctors Residence: 4 guest rooms accommodating up to 10 guests.
Garden Cabins: 6 cabins accommodating up to 22 guests.

In total, the lodge can host up to 60 guests.

Caravans: There are 5 unpowered sites available right next to the Snowy Waters Lodge and guests can use the lodge facilities.

If the camp reaches full capacity and you miss out on a spot, don’t worry! There’s the Raetihi Holiday Park which is close to the lodge as well as a Top 10 Holiday Park and other accommodation options available in Ohakune, just 9 mins drive away. Please note that you will need to arrange this independently.

What to Bring

Food: The camp is self-catered. A fully equipped kitchen is available for your use.
Bedding and Linen: Provided by the lodge.
Crockery and Cutlery: Provided by the lodge.

Camp Fees

Adults (15 years and older): $150 per person
Children (1-14 years): $95 per person
Caravans (unpowered): $60

These fees cover the entire duration of the camp, regardless of the number of nights stayed.

Transportation

Raetihi is centrally located, making it accessible from various parts of the North Island:

Wellington & Te Puke: Approximately 3.5 hours by car
Auckland: Approximately 4.5 hours by car
Hamilton, Te Awamutu, New Plymouth: Approximately 3 hours by car

Nearby Townships

The nearest township is Raetihi, approximately 3 minutes away, with takeaways and a superette. Ohakune, approximately 10 minutes away, also offers various amenities.

Booking Deadline

Please submit your application by 6th of April. Accommodation is limited, so it will be first in, first served. Once the spots are filled, registrations will close.
