2024 Combined New Zealand CampCAMP APPLICATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED
Camp opens from 3pm on the 25th.
___________________________________
The New Zealand Christmas Camp is held in the North Island at Epworth Retreat & Recreation Centre, 116 Finlay Road, Cambridge. It is a combined camp for all the New Zealand assemblies.
The camp runs over eight nights from the afternoon of December 25th (first meal is dinner) to the morning of January 2nd (last meal is breakfast). It is exclusively ours during this period. Camp will be open for arrivals after 3pm on the 25th. The camp is fully catered—the saints do the catering.
The venue
The venue is the Epworth Retreat & Recreation Centre, 116 Finlay Road, Cambridge. The camp is situated next to the Waikato River, about 20 minutes from Cambridge. The camp has good facilities, including a hall and separate dining room.
See the website at https://www.epworth.co.nz/
What there is to do
There will be morning and evening meetings. The night meeting will have more of a concert atmosphere, but there will be talks at both. There will be organised activities and outreaches as well as free days.
The camp has a swimming pool and playgrounds.
Accommodation and meals
The Camp Manager will allocate all accommodation. Cabins and dormitories are available, and there is plenty of room for tents and caravans, including eleven powered sites.
Rosters for cooking, dishwashing, cleaning etc. will apply.
First meal is dinner (evening) Christmas Day, and the last is breakfast on the day camp breaks up.
Please note that our menu is unable to cater for special dietary requirements. (There is a separate kitchen which can be used by those needing to prepare special meals.)
What to bring
You will need to bring your own bedding (including pillows) or hire bedding onsite (pillows are included). Bedding is available for $6.50 per person per stay. Crockery and cutlery are provided.
If you are an overseas visitor and a member of oversight or currently used to give talks or lead choruses, please indicate this on the form. Make sure your local pastor is happy for you to be used in this way.
Camp is a world-free zone. It is a chance to leave behind worldly influences and to enjoy the Lord and the fellowship of the saints.
Pets are not permitted in camp.
