NZ Easter Camp 2021
South Island Easter Camp
Our Easter Camp is held at a little country town named Kaiapoi, about 15 minutes north of Christchurch. The venue is Blue Skies Conference and Training Centre, 12 Williams Street, Kaiapoi.
You can register using the form on this page. Please put your form in by Sunday 21st March.
If you have any questions, you can email Pr Mark via the Christchurch contact page, or phone him on +64 21 1545 205.
The Camp opens on Thursday night 1st April and pack-up is on Monday morning 5th April. There will be meetings each morning at 10am and each evening at 7pm from Friday to Sunday.
Accommodation and facilities
There are two complexes on the seven hectare site. We have hired out the Youth Lodge, which is self-contained and separate from the other areas. Accommodation is in separate rooms with four or more beds in each. There are some double and some single beds. The complex is fairly modern with a large newly built hall and dining/recreation area.
There are a few motel units at the front of the Blue Skies property that can be booked independently for those wanting to be close but wanting better accommodation. Contact Blue Skies directly for these (you’ll need to be quick!) Website: http://www.blueskies.org.nz/
What to bring
Everyone supplies and prepares their own food, but the kitchen and dining areas are communal. There are supermarkets and shops just down the road (but they will be closed Friday & Sunday). There is also a supermarket just outside Christchurch airport for those arriving by plane.
Crockery, cutlery, cups, cooking utensils, tea, coffee etc. are provided.
Dishwashing is rostered (there is a commercial dishwasher and the setup is excellent). Most people will be rostered on dishwashing for one meal at camp.
You will need to bring sleeping bags or bedding (pillows are provided), and tea towels.
We have a fixed fee of $120 per adult and $80 per child. This covers the whole camp. (We are already heavily subsidising the camp, so we ask everyone to pay the full fixed fee regardless of how many nights actually spent at camp.) Children are defined as one to fifteen years old. Babies are free. Day visits are $40 per adult per day, $20 per child.
Visitors from outside Christchurch may pay on arrival.
