And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15
Seven incredible biblical claims
Mark Wattchow, Christchurch
There is no other book like the Bible. It makes world-shaking claims. Either you believe them, or you don’t. There is very little middle ground. But these claims are so far-reaching, so important, and so world-altering for the future that they are worth knowing about, and worth looking into at least once in your life. Find out what they are.
Saved by grace
Mark Wattchow, Christchurch
We are saved by the grace of God. Does that mean we are not saved by faith? Or by the Holy Spirit? Or by obeying the gospel of Jesus Christ? Or by repentance? The understanding many have of being saved by grace, and saved by faith, is often only a misunderstanding. Make sure you know what the Bible means by it.
Don’t forget the context
Mark Wattchow, Christchurch
What must we do to be saved? Did the apostles give different answers in the book of Acts? Or were they all in complete harmony with the original preaching on the day of Pentecost? And how can we tell?
The Kingdom of God
Mark Wattchow, Christchurch
What is the purpose of prophecy? Where does salvation take us? What do the miracles and healings of the Bible demonstrate to us? What do the warnings of the epistles protect us from? All these things have a single focus – the coming Kingdom of God, and its King of Kings.
When beasts ruled the earth
Mark Wattchow
Daniel and Revelation speak of strange and terrifying beasts, representing kings and empires, that would rage in this age, ruling the earth in the midst of war, suffering, and destruction. Yet they are prophesied to become extinct and little more than a “prehistoric” memory – like an era of dinosaurs.
A brief history of the future
Mark Wattchow, Christchurch
What is the book of Revelation about? The prophecies of Daniel and Revelation are grand outlines of history and the future, chronological charts of what was and is to come. This talk gives an overview of the book of Revelation and its context in the earlier prophecies of Daniel.
To judge or not to judge
Mark Wattchow, Christchurch
Judging is both absolutely forbidden and expressly required in the Bible. Knowing how to judge, and why, and what to base that judgment on is essential.
The days after Pentecost
Mark Wattchow, Christchurch
A new era begins, and the gospel turns the world upside down.
Chambers of imagery
Mark Wattchow, Christchurch
The mind of man is a powerful thing. But when his thoughts rebel against God’s, his imaginations are only evil continually.
Samson, Paul and the prodigal son
Mark Wattchow, Christchurch
It takes great strength to repent, and few are willing to do it. But these stories show the powerful result it brings.
